Peacefully at UHG, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his daughter Nora, sons-in-law Tom and Mike, his sister Maureen and brother Billy.

Cherished husband of Peggy and father to Mary, Mags, Helen, Mike, Teresa, Martin, Anne and his 19 grandchildren. Sadly missed by his brothers Paddy (Galway), Miko (Portland, ME, USA), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephew, sisters in-law, brothers in-law and a large circle of neighbours and friends.

Reposing at St. Colman's Room, adjoining St. Colman's Church, Corofin, this Friday evening, December 15th, from 4:30pm to 7pm with removal afterwards to the church. Funeral Mass for Mattie Furey on Saturday, December 16th, at 11:30am, followed by burial in Lackagh Old Cemetery. Family flowers only, by request. Donations, if desired, to Claregalway and District Day Care Centre.
