Music during the Funeral Service

For church services, it's common to book musicians like organists or soloists to perform appropriate hymns. Options include string quartets, folk groups, and family friends. Some families choose to have a bagpiper play outside the church or at the cemetery or crematorium. In Church of Ireland, Methodist, and Presbyterian services, typically only an organist is needed, as the congregation sings the hymns.

Music during the Cremation Service

Crematoria offer music streaming services, allowing you to contact them in advance with your preferred music. This music can be non-religious, reflecting the deceased's favorite songs or pieces. Soloists and musicians can also perform live music.
